-can increase overall profits/for commercial reasons

-increases your target audience and demographic 

-educate/creating awareness/market their product 

-influence 

-increase recognition and branding 

-establish the brand


Main purposes of advertising in general:

.Create awareness for the product

.Introducing a new product the product 

.Increase sales/convince consumers that they need the product/phycological and making people feel inadequate 

.Rebrand an existing product/changing exotics over time to appeal to a younger, youthful audience/change in values and society eg. uncle Ben's and maple syrup
